let's get skinny!

Today's the day! I've decided to make a lifestyle change. I'm no longer going to make excuses for why I can't work out. There's always an excuse, right?

I've come to a point where I'm extremely unhappy with my body. I'm no longer comfortable in my own skin. I'm lucky. I have an amazing husband that loves me the way I am. He just wants me to be healthy. I also went through a pretty traumatic experience last year, it was very hard on me emotionally and physically. My husband thinks it caused a combination of mild depression and a lot of stress. Whatever it was, my body felt it and looked it.

I'm tired of looking at photos of skinny people and other people that have lost weight. I thought, if they can do it so can I! And I am. I'm going to do it. Starting today, I have made the decision to change my mind and my body! I'm going to document my progress so I can be held accountable. If I quit, you are allowed to slap me! (not too hard, though) Starting Monday, I have already signed up for spinning classes and Pure Barre. Between the two, I am committed to changing my mind, body and spirit to get in shape and get healthy.

zara bizarre

I never seem to have much luck at Zara but always seem to comment on other peoples outfits that they surprisingly say they purchased from Zara! Lately, I've been stalking the website and have noticed some great items. I have a pair of Zara heels that aren't particularly comfortable and some random shirts that are my favorites. Although I haven't had much luck with their shoes, it hasn't stopped me from obsessing over some of their latest. Maybe because they're all around only $80.

What do you guys think?

neon dreams

Theory Duria Silk Blouse

Tried this neon Theory blouse on yesterday and I am officially obsessing over it! It is the neon of all neons! The fit of this blouse was insane- it fit like a glove (minus some pulling around the bust, which happens all the time). It made me look like I had lost 5 lbs. and in my book, that's a major plus! Must...have!

rainy day obsession

I've been pining after Hunter boots for a while and have been trying to find an excuse to purchase myself a pair. But, living in LA, it's hard to justify it except when it's a rainy day like today. I had major Hunter boot envy today. I immediately come home and start scouring the web for deals. They're not expensive but not sure how much use I'd get out of them. So, my obsession continues.

sunday funday

Hubby and I had a wonderful lazy Sunday. The weather was amazing today so we went to our local farmer's market and bought our fruit and veggies for the week. Went to the animal shelter and wanted to bring home every single dog we met. Sat outside and drank beers and mimosas. What an amazing day... and it's not quite over yet!

purple and green

Lately, I've been really into baking. This morning, I decided I wanted to try out some new colors for icing and I thought of my husbands company colors. He works for pricegrabber and their colors are neon green and bright purple.

What a perfect combination of colors for cupcake icing! Here's the end result.

I've been obsessed with the Hermes Studded Cuff for a long time. I got to borrow my boss' for a day and I absolutely loved it! At least I got to enjoy it for a short period of time... even though it was temporary. Next on my list is to borrow her Birkin Bag! A girl can only dream...

Today, we did an all day photo & youTube shoot at our office with a bunch of looks. And of course... because I am multi-talented, I was our lovely hand model and the lucky model that got to shoot an Asian Smokey Eye video. Here's a sneak peek at the final look. A little heavy overall for both eyes and complexion personally but it is for a video so it needs to look noticeable.

my goodies (at least one of them)

I've been lusting after this ring for a while after seeing it online and in some of my favorite blogs, one of them being Tiffany at IamStyle-ish.com. {I love her, we could've been separated at birth.}

I've seen it in the pink version which is uber cute and girly, so I definitely had a hard time deciding on which color to purchase. In the end I opted for the turquoise since I've been a long-time lover of turquoise jewelry. Now I just have to incorporate it into all of my outfits so I can get some proper use out of it.

bad girl

I've been bad. Very bad.

I've been doing a lot of online shopping. What better excuse to buy a new outfit than when you have a wedding to attend and I have a wedding in PA at the end of this month. Here's the dress I ordered from Nasty Gal.

The main reason I fell in love with this dress is because of the back detail. It's sexy without being overly revealing. It's definitely not going to keep me warm in the frigid cold winters of PA but as long as I look good, who cares. Here's to hoping that it looks as good on me as it does on the model. {fingers crossed}

Can't wait to receive my package. It's always exciting to get packages in the mail after all the anticipation from waiting. I love getting new goodies in the mail, especially when it's new clothes and shoes.

sheer bliss

Dior Addict High Shine Lipstick in Flamenco Red/ DiorKiss Luscious Lip-Plumping Gloss in Strawberry Smoothie

Just bought myself some new Dior lip goodies - so far, I'm loving the lipstick in Flamenco Red. It gives my lips that nice color without looking too va-va-voom, which is perfect for during the day in the office. Don't get me wrong, I'm all about being bold with my outfits and makeup but sometimes red can be a bit much. My signature matte fuschia on the other hand is not! :)

I'm not sure how I'm feeling about DiorKiss, it's very sheer and barely has any color payoff. I naturally have very pink/red lips, so this might give more color payoff for someone with naturally light pink lips. On me, it just looks very sheer and the smell is exactly like the name describes. Not sure if I like the way the plumping makes my lips feel since I already have very full lips. I bought it for the color and that it's marketed as being non-sticky. I'm willing to give it another shot before I consider returning it.
